Your appointment will typically last between 70 to 90 minutes. For a comfortable experience, we recommend dressing in cozy clothes, bringing a bottle of water, and maybe even a book to pass the time!

Your iron prescription may be partially or fully covered by your pharmacy extended health plan, and the infusion appointment itself is typically covered under your naturopathic extended health benefits.

What Will I Need To Get Started?

An updated ferritin test result, no older than three months, is necessary for your iron infusion appointment. This ensures we have the most current information on your iron levels to provide the most effective treatment. Our naturopathic doctors can help with a test requisition for about $40, which will be an out-of-pocket expense.

Is Everyone Eligible For Iron IV Therapy?

To be eligible for an iron infusion, you need to have iron deficiency or suboptimal ferritin levels, with an updated ferritin test result from the past three months. Additionally, this treatment is available for females in their second or third trimester. Schedule a consultation to find out more!
